Tips for taking care of your jade bangles, pendants, jewelry
Jade is one of the hardest, strongest gemstones, but it will break, chip, scratch, or crack from regular wearing, accidental damage, or improper storing.
The most important thing you can do to keep your jade in good condition is to store it properly. Ying Yu Jade purchases include a box, a traditional red rice paper and silk lined packet, or pouch to keep your jade piece in when you are not wearing it. If you have several jade pieces, and don't wear some frequently, the jade often loses its "glow" and prettiness when you put it away in a dark place. Jade likes daylight (not direct sunlight) and moisture. The jade bangle bracelet display stands are perfect for jade bangles when you are not wearing them. But if you jade does look dull, place in a bowl of water in natural daylight for awhile. Or simply start wearing it again. Your body qi and the jade qi will both get a boost, and your jade will soon look better and take on its natural glow.

a jade bangle or pendant, it will get dirty from lotions, hairspray, cosmetic,
and whatever you contact during the day. Jade likes water, so you can
wear your jade when you bathe, and wipe it dry with a soft cloth.
If your jade has small scratches and the polish is dull, spray on Pledge or any spray polish that has wax as an ingredient. Polish it with a soft cloth.
Jade pendants and bangle bracelets that are carved sometimes get chipped, or the carving has been damaged from wear. A good quality car wax can often make it look better. Apply the car wax and let it dry, then polish with a soft cloth. If the wax gets in the carvings, use a soft toothbrush to remove the excess, then polish with a soft cloth.
